forums for GT Racing and Rallying, so you can chat away til your heart's

Barbara is a true ambassador for women in motorsport, she has climbed
the ranks steadily and impressed all who she meets or races for with
her likeable personality, sense of humour, determination and above all,
sheer talent that outclasses many around her (of the opposite sex!).
In her debut year racing Porsches she has achieved numerous top three
finishes and silenced any critics who may have thought she was not cut
out for the job.

- ALL STAR TEAM LINE UP FOR
FAST, FIRST LADY - Pickup Truck Racing's fast (and
first) lady Kelly-Jayne Wells will be joining Simon
Carr Racing for the 2006 season, and will have 2004 SCSA Stock Car
Champion Stevie Hodgson as Team manager/principle on the No.21 and
No.15 Pickups.
The team owner, Sheffield based Simon Carr is, like Kelly-Jayne, a
race winner in the Pickups and has also enjoyed tutelage of Stevie
Hodgson over the past couple of seasons. "I've known Stevie since
I was 16 and he's my best mate in motorsport," says Kelly-Jayne.
"He's always been there for me and I'm really excited about working
with him and also racing with Simon."
It's long been known that Kelly-Jayne is keen to put together an all-girl
team - not necessarily on track but behind the scenes. She has been
able to go some way to achieving this objective for the coming year
and with some impressively high profile personalities. Ex Formula
3 driver Susie Stoddart will be Kelly-Jayne's spotter whilst former
British Ladies Rally Champion Barbara Armstrong will
be the team's co-ordinator. "It's mega that Susie and Barbara
are on board as well," adds Kelly-Jayne. "Susie's got just
one date wich clashes with ours so I'm hoping my sister, Delaney,
will be spotting for that one. We're gona give the blokes a real run
for their money this year."
