CONOR FLYNN - Rally Driver

Conor's day out was arranged by Barbara Armstrong, with her friend Helen Elstrop, who is chief instructor at Croft.
Colin and his wife Helen are already known to the Challenge when they came to Sweden this year!!!

Phil Littlewood kindly loaned his old 325, the hack which we originally tested all the suspension components on. It was a really nice steady paced day, Conor was shown all the lines, by Helen, then all the braking points, clipping points etc etc, then Helen showed him all the off line overtaking moves !!! Nice touch. He was taught to heel & toe, which I have never done!!

By the end of the day 50+ laps had been completed, the 325 had flown round there for the last 20 or so, while Helen did a mock ARDS test, which Conor passed with flying colours.

His big watch word had been DISCIPLINE, in Sweden Conor has mastered throwing the car around. Gravel is also lots of fun, but on the race track we really worked on discipline, balancing the throttle thru' that long corner instead of powering & braking etc.
