Barbara was kindly given the job of being ‘Safety Car’ on the Pirelli Rally. Her position on the rally was running 10 minutes in front of the National Class. On the Saturday the 1st car behind her was Colin McRae, but he only lasted to junction 5 on the first stage of the Saturday morning.

Barbara was also involved in taking out VIP’s who were guests of Pirelli on the Friday in Kershop Forest. This little stage was about a mile long, and gave her a nice few hours getting used to the car.

The car was supplied by Steve Petch, and ran faultlessly. Barbara would like to thank Jon who did a fantastic job of looking after the car, myself, and my co-driver for the event Andy Jardine.
